No Bake Chocolate Oreos

Hey Guys! So I just arrived back into London a couple days ago to revise and sit my university exams and I’ve been starting to stress out majorly! I needed to take a break so I decided to make these quick and easy chocolate Oreos. I recently ordered a bunch of chocolate transfer sheets so I could practice around with them since I haven’t used them and I thought making these Oreos would be the perfect time to give them a try!

I was very pleased with the outcome of how the patterns transferred onto the chocolate itself - it resulted in a really shiny and polished looking top, but instead of using normal chocolate that had been tempered (which is difficult to achieve!), I decided to use Wilton’s candy melts instead. Candy melts are meant to give the results of tempered chocolate but you don’t have to do any difficult processes! You can just melt them in the microwave and they come in a wide range of colours! I got the dark chocolate, white chocolate (vanilla flavour) and pink candy melts!

I was happy with how the dark candy melts melted as the consistency was runny enough to fill in all the gaps around the Oreos but with the white and pink melts I struggled a little as I thought the consistency of the chocolate was a little thick! That may have been because that’s just the way it is or I have a feeling I may have overheated them too much!

I think that these Oreos really make a statement and look so pretty and fun, and the best part is that they only require 2 ingredients and are so unbelievably simply to make! Hope you guys enjoy this one!

For the chocolate Oreos:

Line a cupcake tray with cupcake liners.

Draw and cut circles that are the same size as the cupcake liner base out of the transfer sheets and place rough side up in cupcake liners (I used a glass to draw around that was the same size as the base).

Melt candy melts in the microwave or double boiler until completely smooth. Make sure not to add ANY water or liquid food colouring as it was ruin the texture of the chocolate.

Spoon a thin layer of chocolate into the cupcake liner. Place one Oreo on top of the chocolate.

Spoon chocolate over the Oreo to completely cover it. Make sure that chocolate has gotten into the sides around the Oreo.

Repeat method using other candy melt colours as desired.

Place the cupcake tray in the fridge for 30 minutes or until the chocolate is set.

Peel off cupcake liners from chocolate Oreo and carefully peel of the transfer sheet so that the pattern is left on the top.
